SINTERCER Development of a sintering centre and know-how exchange for non equilibrium sintering methods of advanced ceramic composite materials

Coordinator: INSTYTUT ZAAWANSOWANYCH TECHNOLOGII WYTWARZANIA (PL)

The SINTERCER project will strengthen the research potential of the SINTERCER Centre - an integral part of the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (IOS), Poland. This concept will be realised mainly through:•offering new ranges of research related to obtaining materials in non-equilibrium conditions (non equilibrium sintering methods and studies of new group of materials of advanced ceramic composites for special applications)•developing innovative HP-HT SPS equipment - the first such solution in the world•increasing international cooperation with top-class European Research Centre…

About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)

The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.

EU contribution: €2.0M awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 3.5 years from 2013-06-01 to 2016-11-30.
