Forces of Nature Power! Through Forces of Nature
Coordinator: RANNSOKNAMIDSTOD ISLANDS (IS)
As Europe and the world are faced with common global challenges, ranging from critical environmental changes to societal issues, the role of researchers becomes ever more important. From dealing with the current economic crisis to tackling changes in nature that may permanently alter our planet, it is clear that science and innovation will be critical in taking on those challenges through knowledge and creativity. In Iceland, the power of the forces of nature is very imminent in the daily lives of people, whether it is in the form of increased seismic and volcanic activity and receding glacie…
About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €65k toward a total project budget of €101k — a funding rate of 65%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 0.6 years from 2012-05-01 to 2012-11-30.
