FLUOCOORCHEM Fluorinated Weakly Coordinating Anions for Coordination Chemistry of Unusual Ligands

Coordinator: INSTITUT JOZEF STEFAN (SI)

The aim of the project is to prepare metal-complexes of weakly coordinating anions and unusual ligands (nitrous oxide, dihydrogen trioxide, krypton difluoride, xenon tetrafluoride, xenon difluoride, and hydrogen fluoride) and subject them to single crystal X-ray diffraction in order to obtain a detailed structural information of the ligand (dihydrogen trioxide) or the metal-ligand interaction (nitrous oxide, dihydrogen trioxide, krypton difluoride, xenon tetrafluoride, xenon difluoride, and hydrogen fluoride). The approach of the proposal is based on merging the experimental techniques (low t…

About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)

The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.

EU contribution: €238k awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 3 years from 2014-07-01 to 2017-06-30.
