At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2021, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 8.2% compared to 2020, reaching 19.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

Austria ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.6% (from 16.5% in 2016).
