At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2022, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.5% compared to 2021, reaching 19.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.4%.

Austria ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.5% (from 19.1% in 2017).
