Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Belgium's main indicators increased by 8.5% compared to 2015, reaching 8.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.0%.

Belgium ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 38.7% (from 6.3% in 2011).
