Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, France's main indicators increased by 4.4% compared to 2015, reaching 15.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.0%.

France ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 42.9% (from 10.8% in 2011).
