At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2017, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 8.5% compared to 2016, reaching 29.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 20.0%.

Bulgaria ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.5% (from 28.2% in 2012).
