At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2017, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 13.4% compared to 2016, reaching 32.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 20.0%.

Romania ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.3% (from 33.3% in 2012).
