At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.8% compared to 2023, reaching 28.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.3%.

Bulgaria ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.5% (from 27.5% in 2019).
