In 2017, Croatia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.9% compared to 2016, reaching 28.6%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.7%.
Croatia ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.7% (from 25.6% in 2012).
