In 2016, Estonia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 12.3% compared to 2015, reaching 40.2%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.3%.
Estonia ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 206.9% (from 13.1% in 2011).
