In 2016, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 10.1% compared to 2015, reaching 38.1%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.3%.
Latvia ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 318.7% (from 9.1% in 2011).
