In 2011, Estonia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 14.3% compared to 2010, reaching 17.6%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.3%.
Estonia ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.0% (from 16.3% in 2006).
