At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 8.6% compared to 2023, reaching 15.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.3%.

Germany ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 25.6% (from 12.1% in 2019).
