Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2018, Germany's main indicators increased by 7.7% compared to 2017, reaching 16.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.1%.

Germany ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.1% (from 13.8% in 2013).
