Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2023, Germany's main indicators increased by 21.7% compared to 2022, reaching 12.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 11.0%.

Germany ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 54.4% (from 7.9% in 2018).
