In 2022, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.3% compared to 2021, reaching 13.5%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.5%.
Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.7% (from 13.4% in 2017).
