In 2020, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 16.1% compared to 2019, reaching 20.9%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.4%.
Hungary ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.9% (from 22.7% in 2015).
