In 2020, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 44.4% compared to 2019, reaching 9.1%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.0%.
Hungary ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 97.8% (from 4.6% in 2015).
