In 2022, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.3% compared to 2021, reaching 13.5%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.3%.
Hungary ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 48.4% (from 9.1% in 2017).
