At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2022, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.7% compared to 2021, reaching 14.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.3%.

Austria ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.5% (from 12.9% in 2017).
