At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2023, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 0.8% compared to 2022, reaching 13.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.4%.

Hungary ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.2% (from 11.9% in 2018).
