At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.1% compared to 2023, reaching 13.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Hungary ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.3% (from 14.0% in 2019).
