At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2021, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 17.8% compared to 2020, reaching 17.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Ireland ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.8% (from 16.6% in 2016).
