At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2020, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 44.8% compared to 2019, reaching 15.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.0%.

Ireland ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.6% (from 13.5% in 2015).
