At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.6% compared to 2009, reaching 15.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.1%.

Ireland ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 23.3% (from 20.6% in 2005).
