At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.3% compared to 2024, reaching 13.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.1%.

Ireland ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.2% (from 13.7% in 2020).
