At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 8.5% compared to 2023, reaching 12.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Ireland ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.8% (from 13.3% in 2019).
