At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.6% compared to 2009, reaching 25.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.1%.

Italy ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.0% (from 24.7% in 2005).
