At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2022, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 14.1% compared to 2021, reaching 17.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.3%.

Italy ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.1% (from 15.6% in 2017).
