At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.8% compared to 2024, reaching 17.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Italy ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.9% (from 18.9% in 2020).
