In 2019, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 17.1% compared to 2018, reaching 14.5%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.7%.
Latvia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 40.3% (from 24.3% in 2014).
