At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2020, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 9.0% compared to 2019, reaching 15.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.4%.

Latvia ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 31.9% (from 23.2% in 2015).
