At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2014, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.4% compared to 2013, reaching 24.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.4%.

Malta ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.0% (from 21.2% in 2009).
