At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2014, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 13.3% compared to 2013, reaching 39.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.4%.

Romania ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 23.2% (from 31.9% in 2009).
