Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Malta's main indicators increased by 32.5% compared to 2015, reaching 5.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Malta ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1158.6% (from 0.5% in 2011).
