In 2013, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 23.1% compared to 2012, reaching 6.0%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 13.3%.
Slovakia ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 39.4% (from 9.9% in 2008).
