At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2023, Spain's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.1% compared to 2022, reaching 18.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Spain ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.3% (from 15.6% in 2018).
