In 2018, Spain's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.0% compared to 2017, reaching 22.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Spain ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.6% (from 19.9% in 2013).
