In 2016, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.3% compared to 2015, reaching 18.7%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.4%.
Sweden ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 17.9% in 2011).
