THE NAPLES NODE IS ONE OF THE KEY POINTS OF THE NATIONAL RAIL SYSTEM, OF WHICH IT IS A CROSSROADS. THIS CURRENT MODEL HAS BEEN GIVEN OVER TO OVER 30 TRAINS/DAYS FOR MORE THAN TRAINS/DAYS, WITH APPROXIMATELY 130 TRAINS/DAYS, REGIONAL TRAFFIC FOR MORE THAN 700 TRAINS/DAYS. THE NAPLES NODE IS A PART OF THE NEW TEN-T NETWORK SET-UP, IN PARTICULAR OF THE CORE CORRIDOR N.5 Â TO ¿HELSINKI Â TOWARDS THE VALELTTEAU OF THE RAILWAY NODE IN CAMPANIA, WHICH INCLUDES A BIFURCATION IN BARI, ALONG THE NAPLES-BARI RAILWAY MANAGER. Thematic Objective 7 funds sustainable transport and network infrastructure: TEN-T core-network completion, rail electrification, urban mobility, ports and inland-waterway upgrades.
