THE PROJECT IN QUESTION IS A LOGICAL CONTINUATION OF THE EXISTING RAIL TRENCH COVERAGE WHICH IS NOW IN PLACE, WITH THE AIM OF PROVIDING THE TOWN CENTRE WITH ADDITIONAL AREAS RESERVED FOR PEDESTRIANS, WHICH BREAKS DOWN THE AREAS OF THE ROAD NETWORK, WHERE IT IS STOPPED BECAUSE OF THE RAIL TRENCH, AND TO ESTABLISH AN EFFECTIVE LINK BETWEEN THE CITY CENTRE AND THE VIABILITS OF THE FLOW, WITH A CONSEQUENT REDUCTION IN THE VOLUMES OF TRAFFICO.LA’S CONSTRUCTION OF AN INFRASTRUCTURE, COMPLEX AND COMPLEX, SUCH AS THE ONE IN QUESTION, CHARACTERISED BY HIGH AND COMPLEX FUNCTIONAL, SOCIAL AND URBAN VALU…

About the Low-carbon economy objective

Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €4.8M toward a total project cost of €6.4M — a co-funding rate of 75%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.

Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund.
