Electrification of selected bus lines in Poznań

The project includes the purchase of 37 electric buses, including 6 articulated buses (maximum 18 meters) and 31 standard buses (maximum 12 meters). The scope of the project also includes pantograph and plug-in charging infrastructure, including the construction of the necessary connections. A detailed description of the rolling stock and infrastructure can be found in Chapter. 8.1 and 8.2 SW. The vehicles will be directed to the implementation of bus passenger transport as part of the public transport system in Poznań.

About the Low-carbon economy objective

Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €19.2M toward a total project cost of €22.6M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
