Ensuring an efficient public passenger transport service and improving the conditions for the use of public public transport, with a view to reducing the number of journeys by private transport (cars) and reducing CO2-equivalent emissions from transport. Thus, Botosani aims to develop urban mobility by shifting the focus from a mobility based on car use to a mobility based on the use of high quality and efficient public transport, reducing the use of cars in parallel with the use of clean car categories, encouraging the use of non-motorised modes of travel. About the Low-carbon economy objective
Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €15.5M toward a total project cost of €18.2M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
