The general objective of the project is to promote sustainable urban mobility by creating an efficient, ecological and modern public transport system in the municipalities of the county residence, namely the municipality of Alba Iulia (PP1), the municipality of Buzău (PP 2), the municipality of Constanta (PP3) and the municipality of Ploiești (PP4), leading to the reduction of CO2 and pollutant emissions discharged into the atmosphere, the reduction of the number of cars in traffic, the increase in the number of people using public transport with an impact on the fluidisation of road traffic.…
About the Low-carbon economy objective
Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €25.7M toward a total project cost of €30.3M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
