Project phase “Integrated waste management system in Bihor County”
The proposed project aims to solve the significant environmental and operational problems related to waste generation and management and to develop also the integrated waste management system in the county that will improve the living conditions of its citizens and to support Romania in achieving the waste management objectives imposed by the accession treaty. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €13.5M toward a total project cost of €15.9M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
