Construction of WSS infrastructure in the separate area, served by WSS-Varna' Ltd.
The project proposal provides for investments in the separate territory of WSS Varna OOD. Under the water supply component project, a total of 22.49 km of motorways and water supply lines will be reconstructed. This will solve the problem of providing continuous water supply to the villa areas and resort complexes to the east of the town of Varna. A total of 80.82 km of sewer networks and 1 duct pump station will be built/reconstructed under the component “collection, drainage and purification”. Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €41.9M toward a total project cost of €58.9M — a co-funding rate of 71%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
