The aim of the project is to continue the local strategy for the development of the water and wastewater sector in Arges County in order to meet the requirements of the EU Environmental Acquis by promoting investments in the field of water and waste water to ensure compliance with Directives 91/271/EEC and 98/83/EC. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €144.7M toward a total project cost of €170.2M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
