Energy Development of National Ambulance Service Buildings

The direct objective of the investment is to reduce the energy use of buildings operated by the National Rescue Service by increasing energy efficiency and using renewable energy sources, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. The objectives of the project are to comply with the energy efficiency directives set by the European Union and to reduce the energy renovation and maintenance costs of the buildings under development. About the Low-carbon economy objective

Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €5.4M toward a total project cost of €6.1M — a co-funding rate of 89%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
